About Me

I am currently in the last year of my undergraduate studies, working on my 4th year toxicology project in the Matthews’ Lab. My project aims to characterize crosstalk between the estrogen receptor alpha (ERa) and TCDD-inducible poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (TiPARP). TiPARP has been previously shown in our lab to repress ERa. Hence, I am interested in examining changes in ERa target gene expression after knockdown of TiPARP using siRNA. Since TiPARP is an AHR target gene, I am also interested in looking at the interplay between ERa and TiPARP in the absence of AHR.
