It's hard to describe...

I never wanted to make a homepage because I didn't have a need to advertise myself. Even now I still really don't intend the purpose of this page to be just a page to talk about who I am. To me that seems a rather singular and selfish use of webspace. Rather, I initially only had a homepage to archive some of the comics I was publishing for those who wanted to see the older ones. Besides, I myself do not collect the actual newspapers where the comics get published so I wanted to have some record of what I had done. Slowly over time, the site seemed to take on a life of its own. I realized that perhaps the best way to talk about myself was not to do it directly but to show you, the viewer, the things I loved to do and the people, places, and things in my life.

After all, what is one human life, and how can it be boiled down to text and pictures? To make the intangible into some form understandable is a large challenge.

And who the hell am I, anyway? I hardly describe myself in all the pages herein, aside from this little page.

I wouldn't know where to begin, but giving you the raw stats would be useless. So I'm almost six feet tall, a Canadian-born of Chinese heritage (that's CBC to ya), a budding writer, trained pianist, closet philosopher... do these things give you a better idea of who I am and what I'm like? They are only classifications.

This page will remain my little scratchpad within the larger framework that has become my personal sharing space to the world. Over time I hope it will evolve just as the whole site did in the span of a few months.

HMM well it's the new year and all, 2003 woop-de-doo! Half way through a Toike season and I'm pretty burnt out with all the extra work. Perseverence is what makes the difference though, and I find that moments of frustration can lead to great inspiration. I've almost made it through the entire story arc for Advmark and the real challenge will be to end it properly.

DAMN, renting an apartment is a serious hassle sometimes. This begs the question: is it worth it? My answer is yes.
