Well, what started out as a simple flash card program for LIN203 grew into a somewhat larger program. For those who don't know, in LIN203, we get a set of 20 or 30 morphemes (roots of words) that we have to learn each week. Along with assignments to do along the way based on these morphemes. All in all, there are 9 sets, +extra, which is more morphemes than I can count. Like I said before, it started out as a simple morpheme flash card program to help me remember morphemes, but now incorporates a number of features. And before you ask, yes, it is text based.
Features (things that work)
- list of first 5 sets of morphemes from English Vocabulary Elements by Keith Denning & William Leben
- search by morpheme, gloss or mnemonic of any of the listed morphemes
- add your own morphemes, glosses or mnemonics (to existing morphemes)
- quiz specific sets of morphemes, or the whole set
- wide search of glosses and morphemes
- and finally, match words from morphemes (more on that below)
Non-Features (things yet to be implemented, hopefully to be in the future)
- allomorphic changes!! (most important)
- language of morpheme's origin
- smart search of keywords

So, for those who are interested, the program will be up shortly, hopefully, it will be of use to others. For those looking for morpheme sets 5 and up, feel free to email me for them. I would NOT recommend relying solely on this program, but perhaps as a tool for when you are bored with flipping back and forth between pages looking for the meaning of a root. This program is for educational use only, at the user's consent.
