Math exam went well. It can be described by the OMFG YAY avatar i saw in the forums the other day, but I can’t find it anymore.
Okay so, only Japanese and Architecture left! Architecture is gonna be hard... lots of memorizing =[ And a few essay questions where I’ll have to time really well. I like how I’m actually looking forward to the Japanese oral and exams, maybe that’s how it feels to be ahead. I guess all those Japanese lessons from Jenn sama were more useful than I thought =] But it feels like I’m eating off my savings as I’m not really learning anything right now from Japanese class since the grades I’m getting now are from previous knowledge... but then again I would rather have this than being absolutely new to the stuff we’re learning in physics now.
Oh yeah today I got to do this lab using a gravitimeter. It’s this thing that measures deviations in ‘g’, and it’s so sensitive it can pick up the difference as the earth rotates, creating a sinusoidal pattern if graphed. Apparently there are only 3 people in the world who can make these, as there are delicate parts like super-thin springs made of glass etc... But yeah our TA kept reitterating that it costs around $32000 (cuz it will break if we bump it against something or tilt it over 30 degrees). It was kinda annoying though since we had to take measurements on every floor till the 14th floor and take measurements all the way back down... on each measurement we have to adjust the X and Y bubbles to make sure it’s flat too, so it took 3 hours just data collection =[. Math exam was right after lol.
I hope I won’t get too attached to the people here by second year if I really decide to go to Waterloo.
The snow is so thick! But the ppl here said it will be knees thick later on o_O
