UofT is so pretty everywhere >] I guess it pays off for making us walk across such an enormous campus <_<

Whenever I study for more than an hour, I just can’t concentrate anymore and I’ll start to look for things to do to waste time such as UTAMA foruming, facebooking, drawing, blogging... consciously doing so while knowing that I should be studying =/ but when I try to study again the words in the textbook just doesn’t seem to sink in my mind. I tried re-reading, writing stuff down, reading out loud... I’m not saying all of those failed, but it’s just that if it takes that much to understand a sentence/paragraph, it just doesn’t seem to be worth the time when I have chapters of it left. Then again once I give up I get nothing done, and it leaves more chapters for the next day. I wish things were more straight forward.

 

Today we did a physics lab on holography, which was quite fun because we got our hands on some pretty strong lasers. There was this one part where the laser goes through a small aperture and made rings of lasers, and the TA said the theory behind that is ‘too advanced’ for us but we learnt that in IB physics. But the TA somehow expected us all to know the Taylor’s expansion and how to use complex numbers which I’ve never learnt before in high school =/ I had to study that on my own.

Mac OSX Leopard is coming out tomorrow! I hope it’s good, but then again I have no money for it. But I can’t go to the Apple Store tomorrow because I have a physics midterm. I heard there’s gonna be free T-shirts too haha I’ll make Ken get one for me >]

 

I’m starting to appreciate waking up earlier. Maybe because Canada’s so pretty >] Especially now where there’s a whole mix of trees of different colors because autumn is here and trees wither at different paces...

Someone I met a UTAMA has a hedgehog for a pet. Like, seriously! A hedgehog!! It’s so so so so kawaii >< I need to go to her place one day to see it! If not then I’ll try to get her to bring it to UTAMA office hours one day. But then people in UTAMA might like molest it to death so maybe not ==” I want one~

 

 

Yay I got the job =] $40 for like 3.5 hours for being a ‘parking attendant’. Basically I just wave cars in and put out signs and stand there daydreaming and get money afterwards. That’s like 300RMB... wow. Haha thought it doesn’t last long here. I’m applying for a computer hardware job too but I have to write my resume for that. Finally a computer job that does not require software/programming/html knowledge ><. YEAH I’m gonna earn my money back and rise from my current poverty!

 

What’s the plural for kiwi? kiwis? That looks kinda... weird... but kiwies is just awkward. Okay a red dotted line appeared under it so I guess it’s kiwis.
