Going to WFOT2010 in Santiago?
The Kawa Model will flow through Chile in May 2010.
The Kawa Model will be featured as an extended full day Pre-Congress Workshop. The workshop will bring together occupational therapists from all over the world, to partner with their Latino OT colleagues, to push the boundaries of culturally responsive occupational therapy.
It is going to be a great event. If you would like to volunteer to help us lead and run this workshop, then please let Michael Iwama know. Contact details are listed in the About The Author section of this website.
Are you presenting a paper or poster with Kawa Model content?
Or would you like to know in advance when the Kawa model will be featured in the proceedings?
Please go the Discussion Forum, where we will post up-to-date information about the Kawa Model’s appearance at the conference.
Are you fortunate to be in the United Kingdom this June?
Dr. Iwama is returning to the UK (Scotland, England & Wales) and Ireland to give a series of lectures. There is capacity for 15 Universities/venues. If you would like to have Dr. Iwama share ideas about the Kawa model and about the issue of culture and occupational therapy, please let the administration of your local occupational therapy school/program know.
Do you have any news about the Kawa Model that you would like to share?
Then please visit the Discussion Forum, which is also accessible through the link in the Discussion page of this website, and give us the details. No matter how large or small the event – even if you’d like to share with us the fact that you presented the Kawa model to classmates or to your clinical supervisors at the hospital, we would love to hear about it!
