SQUARE ENIX TO RELEASE NEW TRADABLE GOODS

Square Enix has just made available images of some new merchandise that it plans to release to the public in March. The first consumer good is being referred to as the Formation Arts. The product is a chess set, with pieces that were summons or monsters from the Final Fantasy games.

The second wave of goods is being referred to as the Trading Arts. The products include figurines of several Final Fantasy characters. The first wave of tradable figures includes Cloud (FFVII), Sephiroth (FFVII), Rinoa (FFVIII), Vivi (FFIX), Yuna (FFX), Lulu (FFX), and another secret character. Each figure will cost around 500 JPY and be available in March 2004.

In related news, Square Enix released images of the Wanzers (mechs) that it plans to give out to the first 20,000 who pre-order Front Mission History. The Wanzers are also being considered as part of the Trading Arts. Front Mission History will be available in Japan on December 11, 2003.
