FINAL FANTASY 12 RELEASE HAS BEEN POSTPONED

According to Bloomberg, Square Enix will not be releasing Final Fantasy XII in its current fiscal year (which ends April 1, 2004). The game will be released sometime after that date. The newly announced Dragon Quest V will take its place and be released this fiscal period.
Because of this shift in Final Fantasy XII's release date, Square Enix has lowered its projections for profit from 10.5 billion JPY to 8.1 JPY. This will undoubtedly affect stock prices, but with DQ5 taking its place, the impact may not be as high.
