REAL VANA'DIEL STORE OPENS DECEMBER 12
Posted on 11.07.2003 by Sifar
In Akihabara, a new store by the name of "Real Vanadiel: Final Fantasy XI PlayZone" will open on December 12, 2003. The place will offer gamers the chance to play FFXI in an environment similar to that of the game. Real Vana'diel will have a mix of white and blue all over its store to reflect the game's atmosphere and have the latest computers to handle the game smoothly. You might also find staff wearing clothes from FFXI.

Apparently, the store's computers have the following specifications:

01. CPU - AMD Athlon64FX-51
02. Memory - PC-3200 (DDR400) dual channel 512mb
03. Graphics - nVIDIA GeForceFX5950Ultra
04. Monitors - 21 inch

They tried the Vana'diel Benchmark 2 and got a score of 6,600 on low mode and a high score of 5,600 on high mode. The mode must be referring to graphics capabilities. The computers handled the game without any problems whatsoever.

In order to play at the store, you must first give an admission fee of 500 JPY. Then for 30 minutes of play, you must pay 350 JPY, for 3 hours 1,900 JPY, and for 5 hours 3,000 JPY. However, 7 hours at night will cost you 2,850 JPY. Drinks become free for those who pay the admission fee or spend more than 150 JPY in the store. There is also the option of getting a member card which holds certain benefits. For example, if you get 10 stamps at the back of your card, you get an hour free. The card comes in 7 different looks.
