NEW DETAILS ON DRAGON QUEST V
Posted on 12.08.2003 by Sifar
Square Enix has revealed some new details of Dragon Quest V in Famitsu Magazine. The Super Nintendo (Famicom in Japan) remake will feature an internal clock similar to the one being featured in Level 5's Dragon Quest VIII. This will allow there to be both night and day in the game. An example of this feature can be seen in Level 5's Dark Cloud 2. The magazine also mentioned how the characters will have many more movements in the game, whether they are just standing or attacking an enemy. The visuals will thus be much more pleasing than they were 12 years ago. The number of characters in battle seems to be the standard 3, however, in some screenshots you can see 8 monsters facing the game's characters at a time. Arte Piazza's Dragon Quest V will be released sometime during Square Enix's current fiscal year (ends March 31, 2004).
