TWO NEW FFXII CHARACTERS REVEALED

As mentioned in a previous news post, two new FFXII characters were going to be revealed via V-Jump magazine and Famitsu Magazine. We have finally obtained a scan of the page dedicated to Final Fantasy XII on V-Jump magazine. The characters introduced included Fran (the Viera with long white hair, a tight revealing black outfit, and a bow in her hand) and Balfrea (the AirPirate who sports a firearm as his weapon). Both characters will be friends of Vaan and Ashe and help them on their journey.

Other details include that Fran will have the abilities of being an Archer and a Fencer. Both job classes were also available for the Viera race in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Fran and Balfrea have a deep connection with one another, but what the connection may be can only be asumed. Balfrea is an AirPirate who has a small airship of his own that gives him freedom from the nations below him. Vaan too wishes to have this freedom and has a dream of becoming an airpirate. Thus the connection between those two characters. Note that the names of the new characters are still unofficial, we will have to wait for news from Square Enix to confirm them.

In related news, Square Enix has updated Final Fantasy XII's official Japanese website with better quality images of the screenshots available in our image gallery. I've gone ahead and made the replacement with the better images.
