Dorimaga, Famitsu, and Dengeki Magazine have all covered Final Fantasy XII in their current issues and thus revealed a little more about the most wanted game in Japan. As previously noted, the game is 70% complete and it will feature much better graphics in its final form. Other details came in the fact that Kohei Takeda (Vaan's voice actor) is a big Final Fantasy fan, and his favourite character from the game is Balflear (official spelling). The besitary will consist of a 100 kinds of monsters who will also come in different forms, thus increasing the total to 200 monsters. There was mention of how the moogles will look different in design than from any other Final Fantasy game. Details on the battle system are still sketchy, however, it seems that there may be some action RPG elements and some turn based RPG elements in the game. Final Fantasy XII will be much more challenging than previous FF games, as the makers believe it is an area that definitely needs to be worked on. There will be more characters in the game than there were in Vagrant Story. It was also stated that the game will not be linear, and that if one re-visits an area, they will witness changes in that area.

The game's official site was also updated, but offered very little new information. It mentioned how Fran has a good amount of technical knowledge, and that she has the ability to fix airships. There is still no word if Balflear owns the airship we see him and Fran riding in a piece of artwork. The game is expected to be released in Japan, Summer 2004.

The past Jump Festival in Japan showed a 7 and a half minute long trailer for Final Fantasy XII. The video's description was also made available in Famitsu Magazine. The trailer shows how Vaan is locked up in a prison, and is helped escape by Fran and Balflear. The video's download link can be found below.

Finally, we had mentioned in a past news post that a Final Fantasy XII video would be in the next FamitsuWave DVD and its download has finally arrived. The length of the video is around 10 minutes long, however, the download is only 2 minutes in length. This is because it only shows the trailer from the video, and skips out on the behind the scenes features from the press conference that took place on November 19, 2003.
