Some new details for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the movie, were released in the recent issue of Dorimaga magazine. The DVD movie is around 15% complete and its duration has been increased from 60 minutes long to somewhere between 70 to 80 minutes long. It was also confirmed that Vincent will be part of the movie, and can be found in the screenshot below. Due to the increase in the movie's length, delays in its release are bound to occur.

In related news, the movie's official website was open this past Christmas. It requires the use of Flash Version 7, but is very well worth it. It features information on the history of the game, the characters, and has trailers and downloads for you to view. The site reveals a little description of the movie's story. It mentions how after the end of Final Fantasy VII, an evil has started to spread in the world. This evil is coming from a large northern crater which is spreading a disease known as the "syndrome of scars". Humanity is thus in danger once again, and Cloud will have to confront three enemies to save the world. One of the enemies is said to be someone who has caused him pain in the past, Sephiroth? The site also offers gamers an opportunity to get a Shinra Membership application. They will get access to exculsive wallpapers and much more. More details on the benefits of the membership are yet to be announced.

Dengeki Magazine also covered the game and offered pretty much the same details. Famitsu's PS2 Magazine had a few new details of its own. It mentioned how Barret's right arm's function has changed, and that the weapons used by two of the three enemies are called "Velvet Nightmare". Finally, there was a new trailer of the game shown at the past Jump Festival in Japan, its download link can be found below.
