FRONT MISSION 4 IS OFFICIAL

In the current Jump Magazine, a page was found dedicated to Front Mission 4 for the PlayStation 2. The game is the newest in the series and is definitely going to attract some attention at the Tokyo Game Show which takes place at the end of the month. The magazine scan showed a few gameplay elements which were the energy bars for each part (Body, arm left, arm right, legs etc ... ). Besides that, not much else is known about the gameplay. Front Mission 4 offers two main characters from which to choose thus bringing more replay value. The names of these characters are Elsa (female) and Daryl (male). Elsa is a young lady from the Wanzer troop of the French army who has a strong sense of justice. Daryl on the other hand is a 32 year old optimist who was an outstanding officer at one point in his life, but was dismissed by his superiors for certain disputes unknown to us at this time. There will be other characters including some from Front Mission 1 like Kevins Senpai Maria. Since FM4 takes place 6 years after FM1, its likely to find many characters from FM1 in the game. Front Mission 4 will be released in Japan at the end of 2003.
In other related news, it appears that the developers of the Front Mission series are planning remakes of FM2 and FM3. In addition they plan to unleash an online title based on the series. However, more information will only be given out at the end of the month, at this years Tokyo Game show.
