THE DEVELOPERS OF SOM TALK
Posted on 09.07.2003 by Sifar
The people responsible for developing Sword of Mana held a special event at Akihabara. The event allowed several a chance to meet with the makers of the game and discuss nothing but Sword of Mana. Some of the embers present were: Ishii, producer of the game, Kameoka, from Brownee Brown which developed the game, Ikuta Miwa, scenario writer of the game, and Osamu Ken Itoh, composer of the game.

Ishii opened up by discussing the hard efforts put into making the game, especially in the graphics quarter. Kameoka discussed how Brownee Brown was interested in making 2D games and not 3D games. He also mentioned how Brownee Brown took this project, Sword of Mana, with the utmost serious attitude to bring nothing but the best to the gamer. Ikuta Miwa discussed the new female character brought into the game. Sword of Mana is a remake of the original Seiken Densetsu. Sword of Mana has an additional lead character which is of the female gender. They discussed why they brought her into the game. Finally they talked with Itoh who discussed his efforts in the sound of the game. They also sold the Sword of Mana OST in the event and had many giveaways for the audience.

In the end Itoh performed several tunes for the audience on the piano including his famous "rising sun". He also took in a few requests which left the crowd very pleased at the end.

Here are a few images from the event:
