FINAL FANTASY XI + HDD RELEASE DATE IS SET

At the recent Sony Gamer's Day, which took place in San Francisco USA, a whole lot of information was revealed in regards to Sony's 40 Gb hard drive. It was officially announced that both Final Fantasy XI (PS2) and the PlayStation 2 Hard Drive would be released on March 2004. Final Fantasy XI would also come pre-installed on select hardives and would cost gamers approx. $99.00 USD.

With the purchase of Final Fantasy XI, consumers will have a 30 day free trial period in which they can play the game. Once completed, users will be required to pay $12.95 USD per month for server maintenance. Also, if an extra character is chosen by the gamer, he will have to pay an extra $1.00 USD per month.

The hard drive has many other benefits which come from the PlayStationBB Navigator program. The program allows users to browse through their own digital photos, videos, music, and even their own personal CD music collection. Sony will also provide content for download including demos.

Final Fantasy XI and the PS2 hard drive are set for a March 2004 release.
