FINAL FANTASY XI US BETA TEST ENDS OCTOBER 14

Square Enix announced on the Official US Final Fantasy XI site that the Beta Testing for the game will close on October 14, 2003. This is to give way for the game's PC edition release on October 28, 2003. Square Enix thanks those who helped in the test, and gives information on what testers can carry over from the beta service to the live service.

The following data can be carried over:

- PlayOnline ID and password
- PlayOnline mail address and password
- Handles
- Friend List
- Personal information

The following data cannot be carried over:

- Member information set up at the PlayOnline login screen
- Bookmarks created with the Quick Menu
- Messages sent or received
- E-mail sent or received
- Customized mail settings
- Address book
- Files saved in the File Manager
- Customized PlayOnline Viewer options
- Data that did not exist before installation of the beta
- FFXI Character data cannot
- Tetra Master Player data

The carry over from the beta service to the live service should take place sometime from October 28 to January 31, or else the data will be deleted. To transfer your data, click the "Carry Over" button while regestering to play the live service. You will be asked to submit your PlayOnline ID and password (from the beta test), and then follow the instructions.
