Biography
Mehdi
Raessi obtained his PhD in Mechanical
Engineering from the University
of Toronto in 2008. His thesis was on modeling surface
tension-dominant, large density ratio, two-phase flows; Prof.
Mostaghimi and Prof.
Bussmann were his advisors. Following his PhD, Mehdi joined
the Center
for Turbulence Research at Stanford University,
as a postdoctoral fellow. His research at Stanford is mainly focused on
accurate modeling of primary atomization of liquid jets, with
application in combustion processes. He is a member of Prof.
Pitsch’s research group.
