A joint effort of:
GOLDVARB X is a new version of the key methodological tool of variationist sociolinguistics — the variable rule program.
This update of the program has been re-written in C++ and runs in OS X. It is now compatible with either Macintosh, Windows, or Linux environments and operates similarly in both. In addition, it has been revised to include a number of useful new user-interface features. You can now:
Perform cross-reference searches and easily find what you're looking for.
Search for things outside of the coding string.
In addition,
The program now computes marginal results to one decimal place.
Permits font size to be adjusted.
