Tonight it's a party hosted by the premier of Kyongsangbuk-do, the name of the province in which Pohang is located. Here is a photo of the USA team taken from the official IPhO files. This is the first time, after finishing the two examinations, that we get to meet our team leaders. Apparently the Chinese leader asks his students to rewrite the entire exam paper on the spot so he can understand their solutions perfectly and obtain as many marks as possible. No wonder they all get gold medals year after year!
