From a very good friend... what are the chances of blogging on Feb 29? I have to agree that it is a special day where it happens only once every 4 years... and how many four years do I get?

When the labour day long weekends come, it marks the end of summer for me. This is simply because it's the beginning of the school semester again. More people are back to work now. Can't really remember what I did in the past... time just flew past too quickly.

Let me try to recap some highlights:

Summer weekend #7 & #8

Two weekends have past and I am trying to keep myself up-to-date with the blog..

During the Civic holiday long weekend, went to a "posh" camping with some friends (15 of us!!! 3 SUVs + 1 car) at Arrowhead Provincial Park. I called it fancy because there are proper washrooms and showers. :D However, it is still a great experince except that I have about 10 mosquitoes bites on me >< Insect repellent and bouce dryer sheets do not work on me. I also tried to be a bit adventurous by crossing the mini waterfalls. hehehe~ Everyone was really nice there and I was pampered by not needing to make my own food. :D Thanks a lot to the organizers, drivers and cooks~!

I started this week with happiness.. first it was my bed, I got the replacement for my mattress as the previous one was a manufacturer defect. Yay~ new bed! Then comes my little "baby", my new laptop arrived. I am loving it~! Then came my biggest happiness... I received a note from the immigration to go for a medical check up. I am hoping that once this is done, everything will go well. :)

However, all these happiness doesn't last long. :( I lost my sun glasses on Sat when I was shopping at Yonge & Eglinton. I tired looking and asking the stores that I visited but I still can't find it. I was really mad about myself for not able to take good care of my own thing~!!!! Then, I broke my back again. I have to cancel my date to go to Taste of Danforth with Ley. :( So, I am currently under house arrest again for I dunno when.

Summer Weekend #6

The past week was a quiet week. Didn't do much on the weeknd but a bit of swmming and cooking. Made "loh mai kai", mango pudding and my first ever decorated strawberry shortcake. I think it looks nice for a first timer although the cake was a bit hard. I need to ask my coach aka "si fu" for some advices. :D

Started tith working from home on Thurs and Fri as I wasn't feeling well. Started with BAD sore throat then runny nose follow by coughing. I has been drugging myself with all sort of medication that I can find in the cabinet. As a result, I feel so much better today. :)

Went to the monthly Kitchen Stuff PLus side walk sale in Mississauga. Didn't get much stuff this time and the weather was really BAD. :( It was hot and humid. >< Also went back to Ptown for my lil cousin's birthday which is also why I was making the cake. Catch up with LOTS of sleep... it made me feel so good after a 12 hours sleep. It has been a while I had such a good sleep. Was suppose to go to the Beaches for some sun, but ended up cancelling it as there wasn't much sun when I woke up. lol~ So, I ended bumming at home reading and watching until later in the evening that I finally went out to get some fresh air. I was at my bro's softball game watching his team playing. Although I can't play at this moment, it's still good to watch the game... hehehe~

Summer weekend #5

Another tata wave to a summer weekends... Times just fly by easily and quickly. Looking back at what I did last week, I don't feel like I am very productive espeicailly at work. I took 2 days to work from home. Yea.. working from home means slacking off.

Tues -- work from home as cousins are over. We went to One Stoo bbt place for lunch. Their lunches are huge but taste ok. Not that great. Then we went to Pharma Plus to get some eyeliner with some discounts. :D Mattress guy came to look at my squicky mattress. According to him, it was a manufacturer defect and will get a new one within 7-10 days.

Fri -- finally went to Extreme and figure out how the free membership works. Apparently, I have to sign up for 1 year in order to get the free membership. There are couple of alternatives that I can do.. but, I don't think I will go with it since I am planning to get a new lappy. :) (yes, finally after sticking with my antique long enough)Thanks AA for driving me there. Also made my old time fav steam layer cake. I haven't been amking it for a while. This time, I don't think I did a very good job and I got lazy as well and I made the layers very thick. hehehe~ But, thanks San & AA for being the guinea pig again.

Sat -- did some shopping at Yonge and Eglinton. Took a short nap to get ready for the night. hehehe~ Brother cooked dinner... and he cooked WAYYYY too much - pasta, mashed potatoes and salad. Another girls night out with T. and TS. Went to Mink and we skipped the line by paying extra $5. There are ways for us to do that.. hehehe~ It's a fancy place... and people do dress up nicely. The girls are slutty. :D Not really my type of place as I don't really like the music there. We also got a chance to watch live cat fights. hehehe~

Sun -- woke up early as TS need to leave early. Then, went to a family friend's place to pick up a DVD player. After getting that home, I then realized that there was a missing cable. Else, I can start watching on the bigger and better tv. :D Then, went to Seirra Grill for an early lunch with my Soc group friends, Chris, Viv, Qwen, Shaf and San. After lunch, we walked a bit in the Bayview Village before heading home. Once I was home, I was totally knocked off and slept like a baby.
