Finite Element Analysis

I took a graduate course focused on the development of the governing equations that describe the behaviour of simple solid elements. Given boundary conditions, the solution of a system of these elements will describe the behaviour of the more complex system. These techniques are the basis from which commercial software packages perform finite element analysis.

After learning the fundamental techniques employed by commercial packages I wrote my own code to solve simple problems and then began to use a commercial package for more complicated problems. I can perform finite element analysis using:
