About Us

Our Purpose

The purpose of Heart2Heart GTA is to inform people about heart illnesses and to connect them to others living in the Greater Toronto Area with similar situations and stories. The website was originally designed for an academic project for the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto and is meant to serve as a community website for people that share commonalities and interests.
Our team strongly believes that the greatest power that people can have is the power of community and the sharing of each other’s stories. By these means, anyone who is interested in heart illnesses of any kind can come to Heart2Heart GTA for all of the most important information regarding the topic.

Who We Are

Heart2Heart GTA’s website development team consists of seven Industrial & Systems Engineering students at the University of Toronto who share a belief in the power of community, and a passion to help people with heart illnesses. We all have diversified backgrounds, but share common threads of enthusiasm in striving to provide beneficial utility to a subject area such as heart illnesses awareness.
