The IBM 1401 User's Manual

Jóhann Jóhannsson was an Icelandic composer whom I had discovered in the late 2000s. The first time I heard his work was when it was used in the trailer for the film Battle: Los Angeles (2011) which used an excerpt from his 2006 release IBM 1401, A User's Manual to promote the film. A few years later I watched the Bill Morrison documentary The Miners' Hymns (2011) for which he did do the entire score for and that's when I started collecting his works.

I keep and maintain an archival copy of the site for the IBM 1401, A User's Manual for historical purposes. I view it as one of his most important works.
