Our Organization History

Our organization "Women's Equality Educators" is a non-profit organization, originally organized by students and professors in University of Toronto who wanted to make a difference in womenˇ¦s especially those in developing countries. This non-profit organization was established in 1997, which originally had only twelve members. Today, this organization has expanded to include over nine hundred enthusiastic members all over the world. The major funding comes from donation. This learning centre project in Anhui, China is one of our projects aimed at educating people about the importance of equal treatment to female. This raised knowledge will improve the living standard and well-being of the general population in developing countries.

Our Mission Statement

We believe that social equality can be acheived through the use of ICT technologies. ICT technologies such as the internet, and multimedia mediums are powerful tools in transmitting equality issues across. We try our very best to change the pressing sexual inequality problems, to raise the public's awareness of the importance of gender equality, and changing women's inferior status -- particularly in developing countries.
