Facilities

The learning centre includes four areas.

1) Two media stations where a projector and VCR will be placed. This is where gender equality-related videos will be shown.

2) A Library. This will be an area with books, magazines and printed materials that are gender-equality- related. An area for the people to read.

3) A Computer Station. This area will be having around 20 computers with dial-up internet connection. This is an area where the people will be able to find information related to gender equality.

4) Help desk. This will be the place where people come to when they have questions. Staffs will be at the help desk to answer questions about computers, video sessions, and general questions about the learning centre itself.

Tutorial and Video Sessions

There will be tutorial sessions each week. These tutorial sessions will be aimed at teaching the local people on how to use the facilities in the learning centres, such as computers and the internet. The tutorial time schedule will be posted on the bulletin board in the learning centre.

During video sessions, movies or video clips that promote the needs and consequences of gender equality will be shown. Showing video material will help the people to better absorb and understand the gender equality issues.
