BLIA YOUNG ADULT DIVISION of TORONTO
EDUCATIONAL HANDBOOK PLAN

          Master Hsing Yun actively encourages all youth members to participate in the annual international youth conference and since the year 2001, a travel sponsorship program has been established for the youth members. In previous years, over 30 youth members participated in the conference and not only were they able to gain valuable learning experiences, they also developed new friendships from all over the world. As such, the international youth conference is a significant annual event and the youth members are enthusiastic to participate. In addition, the BLIA Young Adult Division of Toronto also hopes to hold the 2006 International YAD Conference.
           In order to establish a system for YAD members to learn, the point system used in the Devotees' College was modified to establish a travel sponsorship program for the YAD Conference. The objectives of the “Toronto BLIA YAD Educational Handbook” are:

   1)  To encourage youth members to actively participate in events.
   2)  To cultivate the talents and potentials of the youth members.
   3)  To expand the participation of the youth members to international settings.
   4)  To enhance the spiritual experience for the youth members.

The details of the point-system are indicated below:

• As in the Devotees' College Handbook, YAD members should earn a total of 30 points.
• The final sum of points can be transferred to the second term of study.
• A “Student Record Book” will be distributed.
