For some of our work, we used a reading passage about the Blizzard of ’78. The passage contains 224 words with coda /r/ and is composed of two texts found online and slightly edited (Urbanek 2003, Spina 2005). It consists of a light-hearted, conversational reminiscence of a major blizzard, followed by a series of humorous tips for surviving a blizzard.
