LIVING CAMP

Camp White Pine, September 3 to September 6, 2004. 

Wow, another year of Ga Dong under my belt. I feel like I’m a veteran now, I am getting a bit older, maybe a bit taller (haha, I wish). 

On a serious note, this camp was different. It was a completely different experience than the previous Ga Dong. I don’t know what it was but it seemed like we don’t have enough time to do anything serious, such as bible sharing, reflection, and group discussion. Now, I’m not here to say the committee members didn’t do a good job. They are a hardworking group, running around from buildings to buildings, to ensure everything goes well and according to plan.

I don’t have much ‘feel’ until the last mass, I felt that someone was touching my heart, someone was telling me not to be afraid (don’t know why though because I wasn’t even afraid). When I stood beside Fr. Anselm giving his final blessing, there were many ECCCLCers crying in tears, my eyes started to water. I don’t know why I was in tears, maybe this was the first time I felt God’s love. I never felt like this before in my life.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my ‘Calm’ group members for sharing their past ‘fear’ experiences; I can’t believe prank calling the cops could be so fun!! I would like to thank my cabin members for not snoring so loudly at night…thanks Gabriel. I would like to thank my Liturgy, Security, and First-Aid team members, you guys have been so supportive and helpful; You guys are the best!! I would like to thank the Committee members: Anges, Patrick, Benedict, Cintia, Rosa, and Venisa from UTCCC! for their hardwork in making this a successful camp; You guys worked so hard and spent almost a year preparing for this camp, sometimes I wanted to give you a hand. You guys did Great! Oh yes, before I forget, thank you Monica for taking some of the pictures for me. =) And last but not least, I would like to thank everyone who contributed and participated for making this camp and celebration of God possible.
