WORLD YOUTH DAY EXPERIENCE

World Youth Day, Toronto, July 27 and 28, 2002. I attend the World Youth Festivals with my CMC (church) group. I still remember I almost got dehydrated during the walk from Finch Station to Downsview Park, good thing everything went well.  

When we arrived at Downsview, I was fascinated with many people from different countries and background gathering together to celebrate together and become as one, and sharing the blanket (sky) at night -together "we stand against the storm."

To tell you the truth, in the beginning I didn't want to sign-up for this event but when Fr. Peter Leung said 'we are very fortunate to have the pope in Toronto, because there are many people spend thousands of dollars just to come here to see him, while we can see him in front of our door, why aren't we taking advantage of this?' After I heard this, I quickly signed up because this is a lifetime opportunity, I figured that I will probably regret this in the future if I don't go.
