Willowdale, Toronto. Another monster house on the way on my street. I'm particularly sad to see this one go - and that's not because I'm not one of those 'anti development' people or because it means months of noise and dust next door to me. This was the first house on my street, and neighbors tell that the man and lady who built the place and lived there until many moons ago (a Mr. and Mrs. Knox) had a huge 100th birthday celebration there. It's not of huge historical significance but I feel it's these little stories that add character to our neighborhoods. Sadly, you find so few of these vignettes in the Megacity outside the old City, and they really tend to go unoticed and unappreciated.
