RESEARCH PROJECT

My project employs a technique called Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching to study mass transfer of a solute in concentrated suspensions for different flow conditions and geometries. It is a small step towards understanding the complex problem of mass transfer in blood flow, which can lead to identification of mechanisms underlying diseases such as atherosclerosis, and also aid in the design of more efficient biomedical devices.
