RESEARCH PROJECT

My research investigates hydrodynamic and mass transport of droplets and bubbles in confined geometries. The ability of microfluidics to generate, manipulate and observe individual droplets and bubbles enables precise information about interfacial properties such as surface tension and hydrodynamic slip to be interrogated by coupling experimental observations with simple theory.
In the Ramachandran lab, I am currently using the boundary integral method to understand the dynamics of the dissolution of a train of bubbles flowing in a tube.
