People of PIPAD

Dr. Martin Sanou Sobse   Dr. Martin Sanou Sobse is a Camerounian medical doctor living in Italy and a co-founder of PIPAD. He is its present President. Dr. Sobse graduated from La Sapienza university in Rome in 2004. He works in Rome but volunteers about a third of his time in Cameroun to advance PIPAD’s projects, especially Primary Health Care and HIV/AIDs prevention initiatives.


Gabriel Dongmeza   Gabriel Dongmeza is PIPAD’s National Coordinator and a Project Director. He has 24 years of professional experience as an agricultural-training engineer. His special emphasis is on traditional small animal husbandry, mainly rabbits. Gabriel volunteers for PIPAD while working for the Ministry of Agriculture, training engineers and technicians at the Bamenda National Cooperative College in Cameroon. He is also involved in several small grass-roots organizations. Gabriel has served as a teacher at ETE/CRA in Bambili and as Director of the Technical School of Agriculture in Bafang. He is currently based in Bafoussam, Cameroon.


François Damesse   François Damesse is PIPAD’s Technical Director. He has 20 years of professional experience as an Agronomist and Researcher. He has recently started an MSc in Phytopathologie at the University of Dschang. François helps to develop PIPAD’s development goals. He has experience as a consultant for the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN. Fran¨ois has also served as the Project Manager for the Unity of Conservation of Multilocal Fruit Collection. He is also a founding member of several community development organizations. He is now based in Dschang, Cameroon.


Susana Sandoz   Susana Sandoz is one of PIPAD’s Project Directors. She is a civil engineer, specializing in community water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion. She has twenty years of experience in 24 countries with water sector project development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Susana has worked for the UN and bilateral agencies, for private consulting companies, NGOs, grass roots organizations. She is currently based in Ottawa, Canada.


Gianluca Russo   Gianluca Russo is PIPAD’s Program Director of the Mingha Project. The project focuses on the reduction of HIV transmission between mother and child. He has 8 years of experience as a medical doctor and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Immuno- Therapies at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Gianluca has worked in countries around the world for organizations such as the Red Cross. He has clinical medical experience, and has focused his research on reducing the transmission of HIV to infants in developing countries. He is currently based in Rome, Italy.
