BLIA YAD Car Wash and Garage Sale

          On August 31st, BLIA YAD Toronto had a garage sale and car wash fundraising event. The garage sale was held in front of the temple, while the car wash was in the back.

          At first, not many cars were coming in, but as time went by, many people drove in for the car wash, and we started to get more cars to wash.

          In the afternoon, a truck with the front part only was outside the parking lot. Everyone was thinking that the truck was there for another reason. Suddenly, the truck drove into the parking lot. Everyone was wondering the same question, "How are we going to wash this huge truck?" But with determination, everyone went to work. More than 15 people were all washing the truck at the same time. The front, back, and side of the truck was being cleaned. Around half an hour later, the whole truck was done. Everyone was extremely happy, as we did the seemingly impossible.

          This was an important thing that we learned: nothing is impossible unless we try. If you don't even try, how will you know that you won't succeed?

          By the time the car wash ended, everyone was very tired. But smiles were on everyone faces, as we raised more than $2000 from the garage sale and car wash together.
