Aloha Outdoor Furniture is a Hong Kong based company which deals in patio furniture and accessories. They realized the need to establish a website which showcases their catalog on their website so potential customers could view their selection before making the trip down to the store.

Upon meeting with the client, important visions for the website was realized and discussed so that there was a clear understanding about what is needed. Work included the design of the website itself, the search for a host and the updating of the website.

The design stage was carried out first through pencil and paper, where visions were drawn to create a potential layout. Drawing from the meeting and communications made with the cient, it was decided that the website should include small animations to attract visitors. Macromedia Flash was used to create a moving strip within the navigation bar, such that it was appealing but not too busy as to disrupt navigation through the website.

The result is a fresh and formulated design which reflects the company. Green was used as the primary colour to represent the nature of the business, and many sections were delibrately made so that they could be updated with ease.
