2008 - Present

Research Assistant, University of Toronto

I am currently working as a research assistant under the supervision of Professor Alberto Leon-Garcia in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and collaborate in my research with Professor Baher Abdulhai in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto. I am a member of the Network Architecture research group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am involved in the Connected Vehicles and Smart Transportation project. My research interests include: Vehicular Networks and Intelligent Transportation Systems. I am currently working on this project.

2007 - 2008

Research Assistant, American University of Beirut

I worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Professor Imad El Hajj and Professor Ali Chehab at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. We Designed, implemented and tested a "Wireless Sensor Node for Real-Time Thickness Measurement and Localization of Oil Spills" as a Final Year Project that:

  • Is a low-cost floating oil thickness and location sensor
  • Facilitates a fast and efficient oil spill cleanup
  • Thickness measurement based on conductivity and light absorption
  • Features: Insensitive to temperature, lighting conditions, waves, and water salinity

June 2007 - August 2007

Research Assistant, University of Toronto

I worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Professor Baochun Li in the IQUA research group at the University of Toronto. I learned Twisted Python in 2 weeks and designed modules for Peer-to-Peer networking.
