UBER-NEW!
~~ SOLOMAN'S TRAVELOG ~~

Several people have asked me to put my travel emails online for others to read, so I've made a page for them. Enjoy!

Bonjour mes copains!  During my European trip, I was constantly kicking myself for not bringing a real camera -- that is, a manual SLR camera -- for taking pictures.  I was afraid of getting robbed, so I just brought a simple point-and-shoot (a Canon Powershot A70) to document my trip.  Unfortunately, point-and-shoot cameras often produce flat, grey and oddly-lit photos.  It was thus hard to capture the sheer magnificence of seeing the Old Continent.  Lesson here: if you want pictures that remotely resemble your trip, consider bringing an SLR camera with you.

Of the over 2000 photos I took, here are a few I'm not embarrassed to show.  If you want wallpaper-size versions of any of these photos, email me at SOLOMAN-dot-LAM-at-UTORONTO-dot-CA and I'll happily send you a larger resolution (and I've already made some of these 1024x768 for convenience).  Take a look at the new pages I've put up, too!  The photos are spectacular, if I do say so myself.  =-)

LONDON

The dome of St. Paul's Cathedral:

Ooooooh, a phonebooth!

London at night:

The above picture was taken from the London Eye, seen below:

AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam's Penis Fountain!  Notice how it's nothin' but a little pecker.  Blink and you'll miss it!  (I can say the same thing about some real-life....oh, never mind.)

A slightly more impressive model, serving as a chair in the Sex Museum!

The Sex Museum also had an interesting gallery of erotic cakes:

But Amsterdam wasn't all just sex and debauchery.  The buildings to do it in were also very pretty!  Note the bikes, which swarm every rail and lamppost in the city.

Gables galore!
