Advanced

This course offers advanced teaching of the Auditory-Verbal Approach. This course provides advanced learning in neurodevelopment of language, genetic basis of deafness and surgical techniques for managing children with hearing loss. Training in advanced clinical skills for research and management of children with hearing loss is also covered.

Completion of the Elementary and Intermediate courses are pre-requisites for the Advanced course.

This course is best suited for:

  • Professionals who require very advanced skills in research, neuroscience, genetics and mentoring skills
  • Clinical and education professionals with existing qualifications (i.e., Audiologists, Speech Pathologists, Teachers of the Deaf, Teachers or equivalent who have reached an appropriate level of knowledge of the Auditory-Verbal Approach)
