Elementary

This course provides basic skills in the Auditory-Verbal Approach and research to support its use. In addition, this course provides an introduction to current hearing technology including hearing aids and paediatric hearing assessment and information about language development and cognition.

No existing qualifications are required for the Elementary course. This course can serve as a pre-requisite for the Intermediate course.

This course is best suited for:

  • Clinical and education professionals (i.e., Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Teachers of the Deaf or other suitable professionals with a university degree)
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students

Offered on-line (40 hours) or in-person (5 days intensive)
