Intermediate

This course provides practical skills in the Auditory-Verbal Approach. In addition, this course provides in-depth information about a range of topics required when working with children with hearing loss. Topics include the development of speech, language and audition; candidacy, technology and trouble shooting for cochlear implants; and assessment, intervention and goal setting.

Completion of the Elementary course or proof of adequate learning is required for the Intermediate course. This course can serve as a pre-requisite for the Advanced course.

This course is best suited for:

  • Professionals who require in-depth knowledge of Auditory-Verbal Approach and current hearing technology
  • Clinical and education professionals with existing qualifications (i.e., Audiologists, Speech Pathologists, Teachers of the Deaf or Teachers)
