January 11, 2005.

I haven't blogged in a while and I think this might be the first blog I write in the morning rather than at night. I just woke up from a bad dream and it had enough realism in it to make me feel sad. It seems like I had a lot of ups and downs in my mood recently and I can't say I like it a whole lot.

This weekend was Daly's birthday and I went to Waterloo to spend it with him. He also brought a few other friends from Mississauga at the same time. The main theme seemed to be the idea of not getting any sleep that weekend. We went out for a long walking tour of the University of Waterloo Friday night and didn't get to bed till about 4 and what's even worse I then woke up 8:30 the same morning. On Saturday, Daly hosted a party where we all got drunk to various degrees with Fox topping everyone and puking all over the carpet. Diane was close behind him though but a lot less messy. For myself, I had quite a bit more than I usually do (I think 6-7 shots and 1.5 Mike's) but I guess I was handling alcohol well that day and I don't think I was crazily drunk or anything though in other time I might get drunk from a lot less. Again though I didn't get much sleep that night because Diane took over Daly's bed so we had to wait till most guests left and then take over the couches upstairs. I was sleeping pretty lightly so I kept getting woken up quite a few times before we actually got up around 9-10 in the morning. So I'd have to say that sleep was quite scarce for me, especially considering that I am used to getting my 7 hours a night.

The Sunday was fairly uneventful in itself, spent mostly with some cleaning up and such and then I took "a short nap" which made me miss my bus back to Mississauga, so Daly had to drive me back himself. So overall, the weekend came out pretty well, even it was far from restful.

On another note, I received some of my final marks for the last term and I am quite happy with that. Apparently, I managed to get the highest mark on my statistics exam and ended up with a 97 in the course. My CSC207 mark also came out well, but I am still waiting for CSC236 results to come in. Now I just need to ace this term and I should be able to get some scholarships next year. Scholarships are great. Unlike OSAP that is, which is becoming a pain in the ass because it reduced my eligibility again and this time I actually have to pay some money back. Of course the letter wouldn't let me know HOW I go about paying it back, so now I need to go to Admission and Awards I guess, but there's always a huge line-up there...

I think this is about all I want to say for now, but hopefully I'll come back to blog soon. I'd like to do it more regularly again.
