I feel like this summer has been going by so fast. I already have my exams in two weeks and I feel like I haven't really been relaxing much at all. It also doesn't look like I will be relaxing any time soon because or work and other stuff. All of it takes so much time... Yep,that's me, I complain when it's too busy, but when that stops I can't take the boredoom. In any case, I prefer it the way it is now.

I was picking the courses for next term this morning. I've got into everything except for the psychology course I wanted to take the second term. I can't enroll into it until the second enrollment period and it's already full... Even by the time I got to it at 10:30 half the spots were already gone. Yet, I don't lose hope since it might still work out since the course is not till next term and people always drop stuff. In any case I am sure I could find something to replace it with.

I think I am getting chronic lack of sleep lately. Firstly, it was because I was reading a book I was enjoying too much to stop reading and go to bed and then for the weekend Daly came to visit and everyone knows talking is most fun at 3 am at night before getting up for a 9 am shift next day. Yet, I don't regret the missed sleep. I also did something new for me and went to a casino with Daly on Saturday night. I lost money, enough said. That definitely put me out of the mood to gamble for awhile.

Right now I am trying to get myself to do some math, which I hopefully will after completing this blog. I've also decided to copy Patrick's, Ainsley's, and Aurelia's blog and do the song title thing:

Choose a band/artist and answer only in song TITLES by that band/artist: Our Lady Peace

Well, I've actually decided to make another, more light hearted entry today. I was feeling rather down and sleepy this morning when I made this first one and this will feel a lot more pleasant, at least to me.

I've remembered a few more things I wanted to share (aka brag about). The other day I've received a certificate with my name that indicates that I am on a dean's list. It probably doesn't mean much in itself and they probably send this to about a thousand of students in UofT, but it made me feel nice, definitely confirming the fact that I've lived to survive my first year. Why don't they make T-shirts like that? I mean they have the one with "I survived Toronto"... I just need the one that will say "I have survived first year UofT while commuting". In addition to that I've got a good feeling that I am going to ace this algebra course. Not that algebra is something to be very proud of considering how easy they make it on us, but still it will be a nice addition to my cGPA.

In contrast I also found myself to be incredibly stupid today. I mentioned earlier that I was going to the bank to get a new bank card for myself. So I did. When I got there the lady asked me for my ID and when I opened my wallet I found that my bank card was sitting there all along! Apparently the bank machine gave me the card back, I put it in my wallet and then for some reason I've decided that I didn't get it at all... I can't believe myself sometimes!

I also went downtown this afternoon for my algebra class which wasn't as taxing as it could be. The lecture itself turned out to be quite short in fact. It didn't even last two hours AND we had a 10 minute break in the middle... On one hand, I am a little indignant that I have to pay a prof so that he would take an hour for his own time, but on the other hand I was relieved that the lecture was done. Ilias and I went to sit in Lash Miller for the tutorial since it was raining quite heavily outside. Then we wrote the quiz which was ridiculously easy and did some campus roaming which included a visit to CSSU.

After that I went home and spent most of my evening reading and then found the pictures of the Sunday pool party. I really like some of them and though I am lazy right now, I will probably post the chosen few on the site later. In any case this seems to be all for now... Bye bye.

Guess what? I am back to making myself blog. I am pretty bad at this I tend to not blog until I get into my bad mood and I need somewhere to vent. Still, I'd better start with the good stuff. Well, let's see, firstly, I've got a raise at work which is something I am pretty happy about, though I think the taxes got raised too... They are taking too much money out of my paycheque! Just you wait, I'll get all that out of my next tax return...

Vanessa's party was also a blast. If you disregard a little shower we received in the beginning, the weather held pretty nicely. I think the highlight of the day was the hot tub, which has received a lot of my attention. I decided that I definitely like hot tubs and should be around them more in the future. Other than the hot tub it was nice to see all the UofT people out there. We also had some salsa lessons there taught by Vanessa, Lee(sp?), and Priscilla, while Aurelia and I were the pupils. It was pretty fun. The desert there was awesome even though Patrick hoggled all the raspberries. We engaged in a game of "I've never ever" and since we didn't have any alcohol, we played it with toothpics. I ended up being the most innocent one, dammit. Funny quote from the game: "Yes, I am an alcohol drinking, marijuana smoking pet owner".

The monday after that was not nearly as fun because I went to work and Mrs. Wu left me alone for pretty much the whole day with a bunch of people demanding some contact lens answers out of me and I had to deal with some annoyed, rude customers. The only nice part was when we closed the clinic and had lunch with Dr. Lo, which was pretty nice. The evening was really hectic and I finished my shift absolutely dead. In addition to that my back started to hurt a whole lot for some reason and I felt like an old lady because walking, sitting down, etc all hurt me. So I was feeling rather blah when I came home last night and hence I am publicly appoligizing to Aurelia for not answering her message last night.

Since I put some balm on my back, I am feeling better now but the gloomy weather just puts me to sleep no matter how much I need to wake up. Oh, and talking about the weather, there was a thunderstorm yesterday that turned off all the power in the mall for a bit, which also added to my "fun" at work yesterday and I had to restart the computer and other stuff. Well, I think I've had enough of complaining for now, so I am gonna go to bank and try to get a card from them instead of the one that the ABM ate the other day.

Luv y'all!

I've just finished reading Brilliance of the Moon by Lian Hearn and all I can say is that the book was very very good. This was the third book of the Tales of the Otori series and I'd like to say that all the books were very well written. All the books follow the life events of the same main characters with the whole feudal Japanese setting in addition. Try it!

As for me, I wrote my midterm yesterday and it went ok though I don't think I did as well as I wanted to... Might have had to do with the fact that instead of reviewing for the midterm while I had time after the lecture, Ilias and I went all the way to McD's to buy sundaes... You can tell where my priorities lie ;). That day I also participated in an experiment which shocked me a bit because in it I was supposed to respond to some pictures they were showing them and some of them were no less than pornographic... Like a picture of a couple in 69 etc. There were also some rather disguisting pictures there.. I am supposed to come for a second session of this experiment one of the mornings, but somehow I am not sure I'd like to anymore.

Today I went shopping and bought myself a swimming suit to go to Vanessa's "Fiesta". There was also some lingere sales going on, so I bought some of that as well... In the meanwhile my uncle had to wait for almost an hour while I bought stuff "quickly".
