Update - thanks Marc! Well, looks like its time to review the box model and Zelman's adventure. For the curious: the CSS box model is supposed to go (i) content, wrapped in (ii) padding; wrapped in (iii) border; wrapped in (iv) margin. Next trick - make this legible in Netscape 4.x. Boy this web logging thing is fun.
