April '10 (10:51a.m.) : It's true, people suck
Yeah, they do; perhaps it is better to not have friends. Before you come and ask me what's wrong, think hard to yourself, whether you actually care for other people's feelings and the ups and downs of their lives. I have no trouble with non-caring friends, but don't pretend you do when you really don't; it's a waste of time for both parties really: you waste your time listening, and I waste mine talking. And don't expect me to be there to listen to your life story, it's not all about you. So, if you don't mind, let's just use each other as occasional time-fillers, that was it's less effort for people who actually care and think for others.
Now onto less sensitive issues. My aunt drove me to the travel agency yesterday and I picked up my tickets there. It's good. Then I went back to her place and had dinner there. She's doesn't exactly know how to cook proper food, but then again, the meal was something I choose over Canada Room meals any day! She also gave me some baked goods to take home, that was good! Now I just have to send my T4 forms back to my brother so he can fill out my taxes haha. Too lazy to do it myself, plus I need the B.C. tax forms anyway. Also have to send a card for my mom's birthday on the 21st; I have decided however to delay it. I think for the past 3 years the cards I sent to my dad for his birthdays have always arrived late (ie after his birthday) so I am deliberately sending my mom's card late so he doesn't think I'm biased or love my mom more or something. Although he probably doesn't really care either way. Anyhoo. Passport is coming in two weeks. Exams are starting in a week or so. Swell!
For three days in a row, the weather here has been great, it'd be Victoria weather if it wasn't for that hint of cold breeze that lingers. I'm not complaining though, the sun is a natural happy pill; it makes me happy. I will miss the nice temperature of Canada when I go back to HK, it's going to be so humid and hot there. Ah well.

April '03 (07:10a.m.) : Nothing happened, at the same time a lot has happened
So it turned out that I was overly hyped about April Fools. Nothing happened! I decided not to prank Sho, and he forgot what day it was and didn't lean a bucket full of water against my door, which apparently was his idea of retaliation. Anyway, I'm sort of relieved that no real pranking took place, even though it did make April Fools that much duller. In replacement of breaking into Sho's room and placing raw fish in his vent, my friends and I decided to go see Sin City instead. If you do decide to watch a movie in the theatre anytime soon, this is 'the' movie you should see! If you enjoyed Kill Bill, you will love this one too. As violent and gruesome it is, it's done so stylistically (absolutely great cinematography and art direction) that it doesn't make your stomache churn. But then again, maybe I just have a higher tolerance for violence in movies. Anyway, it's one of the better movies I've seen lately, besides Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle <- hilarious! Stupid, but hilarious! I also lost the NCAA basketball pool that I was in with two other friends. Michigan State, you disappoint me.
In other news, the head of the Catholic faith Pope John Paul II passed away. Rest in peace.
