May '29 (05:37p.m. : HK Time) : Week two done
Time is going by fairly quickly; it has been 2 weeks since I started the summer internship, and 3 more weeks to go. After my job I don't have anything planned yet, but I might get another auditing/accounting internship elsewhere. Actually it's pretty nice working at PwC.. at least in HK. Yeah people have to work overtime a lot (often til early in the morning) but they have so much sick leave / overtime leave / annual leave its amazing. One of the members of my team is currently on OT leave, and she won't be back until the week after next. Perhaps it's time to think about the possibility of working here full-time next september..

I was gonna write about my little trip across the border to mainland today with a big group of my family of my mom's side, but it's almost 6 and I should sleep. Perhaps if I remember tomorrow I will update it, otherwise, here are some pictures for you all to look at.

May '21 (01:33p.m. : HK Time) : Week one done
It has quite some time since i last updated; i have been busy since I came back about two weeks ago. Mainly shopping for work clothes and going in and out of the hospital to visit my grandma. She is having some major health issues; her heart's function is down to 30%, and the fact that she has asthma doesn't help much. Even the slightest movement will trigger her asthma problem and cause her to start breathing heavily, then she'd have to stop and rest for a while and let her breathing return to normal. However, since her heart is not working so well now her recovery rate has relatively decreased. Last friday her condition was so bad that I decided to send her to the hospital (I went to visit her in the morning; she lives by herself) Fortunately she seems to be doing better (I haven't visited her since I started work on tuesday) Maybe she will return home in the next few days; but with her conditions, it's probably better if she stays in the hospital. Anyway, that's that; my family and I will probably visit her later today.

Work. It's interesting. First week there was nothing particular left for me to do since the job had been going on for a month already. My senior in charge gave me the disclosure checklist to do, which is to read the company's annual report and check to see if they disclosed all the required information in the report. Of course I also had to do things like faxing, filing, and photocopying. It feels boring from time to time. My dad said the main purpose of this internship is not to learn the technical side of things, but to learn how to work with people of different backgrounds, and see how people function in various environments. Regardless, my summer internship seems to be running smoothly right now, I am just not used to waking up at 6 in the morning everyday. And sometimes at work I would be starring at the laptop screen and begin to fall asleep. Of course I don't actually sleep but I do get very tired. Yesterday shortly after dinner I just went to sleep around 10 and didn't wake up until the next morning. That was a good night of sleep!

May '10 (05:54p.m. : HK Time) : Back to Hong Kong!
After another grueling year at UofT, I have safely returned to Hong Kong after 3 years. It is extremely exciting to say the least; I don't have to dread going to meals again haha! It's great! It's funny, my parents were shopping for some crystal decorations and they came across a small necklace to be bought for my little brother; they asked me if I wanted one, but I told them instead of paying money for one, they should just give me money so I can go out to eat. Just to tell you all how much I love food. Anyway.

My flight to HK wasn't as bad as I expected; I slept through most of it at the beginning after eating lunch. After I woke up I watched 4 movies: Nobody Knows (the Japanese movie about four kids/orphans struggling to survive; sad movie, but boring at parts), Lemony Snicket, and two Chinese movies. So it didn't feel as long as it would have been. More surprisingly, I didn't have any jetlag; the first day back I was able to sleep and wake up during normal hours. That's an added bonus I suppose. Since I got back I haven't done much except downloading, gaming (firefighting and curry house games), and just relaxing, since there won't be much of that starting next week. I will begin working as a summer intern at PWC starting on the 17 May until the 17 of June. I don't have any ideas on what I will be doing yet, but I imagine my dad will give me a few pointers before work starts. Monday to Friday, 8:30 til 5:30, it shouldn't be too bad. I think this weekend I will wear my suit and just stand outside for several hours; just to get used to the heat and humidity with the suit on.
