Ergonomics research, like all research conducted on humans, has to address the rights & welfare of participants. In the unlikely event that ergonomic work appears to be conducted poorly, a representative from an IRB and/or regulatory affairs can intervene.

Ergonomists that are certified by the BCPE have obtained the education and experience needed to provide high quality assessments and accurate results. Clients can refer to certifying boards like BCPE to learn more about the ergonomists they contract.
