Usability and ergonomics isn't just about employees and their wellbeing. Even the most pragmatic employer can reap benefits from accident prevention and user testing.

This was well evidenced by Clare-Marie Karat in 1990 in her research on the cost to benefit ratio of re-iterative usability testing. Her results showed ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:100 depending on the problems/solutions found. Even at 1:3, regaining three times what you spend makes good business sense.
