THE ECONOMICS STUDY CENTER The Economics Study Center in the Department of Economics is now open. It is staffed by third and fourth year undergraduate students who act as peer mentors to Economics and Commerce students. The peer mentors assist students on a one-to-one basis or in study groups. Check the schedule for peer mentors who specialize in ECO220.

You may pick up your marked test at one of the following times: Monday, Nov 21st from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in GE213; Tuesday, Nov 22nd, before and after the lecture; Wednesday, Nov 23rd, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in GE228 and from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in GE40. Your official mark on this test is your percentage score, not the absolute score.

The TA typically goes over the assigned homework as well as discusses relevant questions/problems from past tests. There are no quizzes on Fridays tutorials! The Friday tutorial is just an additional learning resource which is now available to you (on top of weekly office hours).

As promised here is an article by D. McCloskey and T.Ziliak where they talk about the idea of statistical significance.

Term Test # 3 is on Friday, March 23rd from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in EX200. Please arrive to the test room no later than 9:20 AM. The test is 90 mins. Format: multiple choice questions only. Aid sheets and statistical tables will be provided. Although the test only covers Lectures 13-21 (inclusive) and corresponding Homeworks and textbook readings, all questions assume your familiarity with the material we covered from the beginning of the course. Please note that as per our syllabus you need to notify me 2 weeks in advance about your academic conflict. I will accommodate your direct documented academic conflict by having you start the test earlier or later.
